About

Lex Aqua is a closed water recycling system designed to reuse the water needed for ice production while removing minerals and other pollutants. As the water freezes, minerals separate from the forming ice crystals. Lex Aqua ensures these minerals do not re-enter the ice-making process.

The system operates fully automatically, though it can also be manually controlled. It features a user-friendly interface with a responsive touchscreen. In addition, the system can be monitored and managed remotely through an online platform.

The recycling process begins when the ice machine releases snow into the melting pit. The resulting water is purified using filters and UV treatment. Once cleaned, the water is reheated and returned to the ice machine for reuse.Lex Aqua, a water recycling system, offers the following benefits for ice rinks:

  • The water consumption in the ice rink decreases with the recycling process

  • cleaning the water prolongs the blade change interval for the ice machine when the blades do not become dull so quickly

  • the temperature setpoint of the ice can be raised because there is less heat load in the ice itself

  • the formation of ice crystals is facilitated when there are fewer impurities in the ice

  • the friction of the ice decreases when there are fewer minerals

  • the ice is more resistant to heavy use, and the amount of loose snow reduces
